Operation

The MP7 A1 operates with a gas-operated, short-stroke piston system and rotating bolt, firing proprietary 4.6×30 mm ammunition from a closed bolt for smoother cycling and controllable fire.

Chassis

The MP7 A1’s chassis uses a compact, lightweight polymer-based frame that integrates the magazine well in the pistol grip and supports accessory rails while keeping overall weight low.

Slide

Instead of a traditional handgun slide, the MP7 A1 uses a reciprocating bolt and carrier assembly within the receiver that travels rearward to extract spent cartridges and forward to chamber fresh rounds during firing.

Maintenance

Safely clearing the weapon, field-stripping key components, and cleaning and lightly lubricating the gas system, bolt assembly, and contact surfaces to help ensure reliable performance.
