Operation
It operates on a gas-operated, short-stroke piston system with a rotating bolt, firing the proprietary 4.6×30 mm cartridge from a closed bolt for controllable semi-automatic or full-automatic fire.
Chassis
The MP7 A2 uses a compact, lightweight polymer and metal chassis that integrates the pistol grip and magazine well while incorporating full Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913) rails on the handguard for mounting accessories like lights, lasers, and grips.
Slide
Instead of a pistol-style slide, the MP7 A2’s working assembly uses a reciprocating bolt and carrier inside the receiver that travels rearward to extract and eject spent cases and forward to chamber fresh rounds during firing.
Maintenance
Safely clearing the weapon, field-stripping key components such as the bolt and gas system, and cleaning and lightly lubricating moving parts to help ensure reliable performance and longevity.
